Questions

Is this really free? +
Yes. Solrova shows you the analysis for free. We don't charge homeowners for access to the tool. We make revenue by connecting you with qualified local solar partners if you choose to explore further. Your analysis stays here regardless.
How accurate are these estimates? +
Solrova uses satellite roof imagery, local irradiance models, and utility rate data. The wider the accuracy band (±12%) we show, the more assumptions we're making. That band shrinks if you enter your actual bill, your roof orientation, and local utility details. The model is most accurate when your historical usage matches what you enter.
What happened to the 30% federal tax credit? +
The Investment Tax Credit (ITC) for homeowner solar purchases expired on December 31, 2025. Cash and loan buyers pay the full system cost with no federal credit. Lease and power purchase agreement (PPA) providers still qualify for the Section 48E credit through 2027 and pass that savings to you through lower monthly rates. You'll see that advantage reflected in the proposal.
Why kWh instead of offset percentage? +
Offset % sounds meaningful until it changes. If you buy an EV next year, your 85% offset becomes 60% — and the solar rep never told you that would happen. Kilowatt-hours are what your utility bill measures. They don't shift with your behavior. kWh is the number you can verify against your bill.
What happens with my utility bill data? +
Your bill information is analyzed to calculate your savings estimate and then discarded within 24 hours. We never store, sell, or share your energy data. If you proceed to connect with a solar partner, they receive only your address, roof specs, and proposed system details — not your actual usage data.

We use your address to look up your roof size, sun exposure, and local utility rates. Your information stays private. The more you share, the more accurate your estimate.

Your electricity usage

Your utility bill holds the numbers that make or break a solar proposal. Homeowners who upload their actual bill get estimates that are 40% more accurate than those who estimate — because real kWh data means a system sized exactly to your home.

Recommended. Your bill contains your exact kWh usage, rate plan, and fees — everything we need to size your system right. The closer your data is to reality, the more your proposal reflects what solar will actually save you.

Upload as a PDF or photo. We'll read the usage and amounts automatically. Multiple months = even more accuracy.

🔒 Your data stays private. Bill images are analyzed in your browser and permanently deleted within 24 hours. Account numbers are discarded immediately after parsing. We never store your full bill. Privacy Policy

Green above gold = solar covers your usage. Gold above green = you'll pull from the grid. Based on regional climate estimates.

Confidence Level: Tier D

We're using satellite imagery and regional estimates. Accuracy increases if you confirm roof orientation and enter your actual monthly bill.

2026 Federal Tax Credit

The 30% federal tax credit for homeowners expired December 31, 2025. Cash and Loan buyers pay full system cost. Lease and PPA providers still qualify for the federal Section 48E credit through 2027 — that savings is passed to you as lower rates.

Important Disclosures: All figures shown are estimates only and do not constitute a guarantee of savings, production, or pricing. Production estimate based on NREL PVWatts irradiance data for your region. Utility rate sourced from EIA 2024 Arizona residential average. System cost reflects $3.40/W national median (April 2026) and may vary significantly by provider, location, and system configuration. The 30% federal residential ITC expired Dec 31, 2025 — Cash and Loan figures reflect no federal credit. Lease and PPA rates shown represent starting estimates; actual rates vary by provider, credit qualification, and location. Section 48E availability through 2027 is not guaranteed and depends on provider eligibility. Battery storage costs are manufacturer estimates and do not include potential permitting, electrical upgrade, or interconnection fees. Actual savings depend on roof condition, shading, utility rate changes, equipment performance, and provider pricing. Solrova is not a licensed contractor, financial advisor, or energy provider. About Kilowatt-Hours vs. Offset Percentage

Offset % sounds meaningful, but it changes with your behavior. If you buy an EV next year, your 85% offset becomes 60% — and the solar rep never told you that. Kilowatt-hours are what your utility bill actually measures. It doesn't shift.

That's why we show you kWh. It's the number on your bill that never lies.
